About Us

Chelmer Precision Welding was established in 1982 as a sub-contract welding company. Intending to meet the demand for precision injection mould tool welding, specialised sheet metal work in stainless steel and aluminium as well as general mild steel work and fabrication.

Over the past 24 years the company has been fortunate to work in many different fields in this respect. These include a variety of special purpose machines, telecommunications, high power klystron valve equipment, food processing plant, medical, automotive, crystal glass furnace technology, stainless steel drainage products, water treatment vessels, air-conditioning and many others.

It has been involved in prototype work on many projects and assisted with design aspects as part of the service. Handling one - off components and maintaining small to medium batch work is all part of the company make up.

Recognising the market demand for adherence to standards the company gained accreditation to BS EN ISO 9002:1994 in December of 1995, since then it has progressed and successfully effected transition to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard which was achieved in July of 2002.

As well as maintaining its position in the sub-contract field the company has also diversified its interests by manufacturing its own products. Under the title of Chelmer Equestrian Products the company is now moving forward into in this respect also.
